Cartoon Contest 2021
The Green Crescent is organizing an International Green Crescent Cartoon Contest to draw attention to addictions in our country and the rest of the world while raising awareness among the youth.
The 5th International Green Crescent Cartoon Contest is being organized this year under the theme “New Generation, and New Generation Addictions (NGNGA)“.
Theme:
The New Generation and the New Generation Addictions
Works submitted to the contest are expected to focus on the causes of addiction, how addiction spreads, the effects of addiction, and responsibilities related to online betting and online gambling addiction, under the headings of “The Effects of the Pandemic” and “Digital Games” and the main theme of “New Generation, and New Generation Addictions”.
Works submitted to the contest will be evaluated both by cartoonists, and by experts in the field of addiction.
Goal :
We aim at delivering strong messages about our struggle against addictions, which cartoonists from all four corners of the world will devise by adding humor to their cartoons .
Regulations:
_ Cartoons’ digital files must be max 5 MB, 300 dpi, JPG, A4 or A3 format.
_ TECHNIQUE : Black and white or colored
_ Up to 3 works can be sent
Who may enter ?
The contest is open to all amateur/professional cartoonists worldwide.
There is no entry fee to participate!
The competition is free to enter
Deadline : 31 January 2021
Prize :
This year, the total prize money has been increased to 44,000 TRY.
first prize of 12,500 TRY,
second prize of 10,000 TRY
third prize of 7,500 TRY
three entries will receive excellence awards of 3,500 TRY, and one will be selected for the “Mazhar Osman Award”, also for 3,500 TRY.
The winners of the International Green Crescent Cartoon Contest will meet an international audience. Green Crescent has for the last three years been attending the Commission on Narcotic Drugs (CND) meeting in Vienna, organized by UNODC, where it displays the winning entries to the contest.
