The competition is organised by the Royal Meteorological Society (RMetS).
The Royal Meteorological Society Young Weather Photographer of the Year Award 2020 in association with AccuWeather (for photographers 17 and under only) aims to encourage and recognise the younger generation of weather photographers.
The Royal Meteorological Society (RMetS) is calling on photographers of all ages and abilities to enter its annual photography competition, ‘Weather Photographer of the Year 2020’ and ‘Young Weather Photographer of the Year 2020’ in association with AccuWeather, a global weather and leading digital media company.
Professional and amateur photographers, regardless of their experience or use of the latest photographic equipment or a simple smartphone, are invited to participate in the RMetS’ annual competition, exclusively featuring photos of weather.
Weather is consistently on people’s minds because it impacts so much of our daily lives. It also lends itself fantastically to photography.
You may submit up to 5 images.
There is no date restriction on when photos are taken.

Participation in the “ AccuWeather ” Award contest is free
• 1st Place: £500 cash and Hero8 GoPro + one year membership with RMetS
• 2nd Place: £250 cash + one year membership with RMetS
• 3rd Place: £100 cash + one year membership with RMetS
• Young winner: Hero7 GoPro
